A linen towel with a loop to hang it from the oven door or a hook by the kettle (chakin, 茶巾 — the tea cloth). It dries cups and teapots without lint, lines a bread basket, or lies under a bowl for a photograph. Fourteen colours, from natural flax and fog grey to matcha, azuki and caramel.
