A round paper lantern shade (chōchin, 提灯) that folds flat and opens into a soft white globe over a bare bulb. It turns a harsh pendant into the gentlest light in the house, and a plain ceiling into a moon. Hang one in a bedroom, or three at different heights over a table. 50, 60 or 80 cm across.
