A gaiwan with a wide, low bowl, a walnut-wood lid and a slim wooden handle on the side so your fingers never touch hot glass. In smoke grey (kemuri, 煙) the tea glows amber through the tint; in clear glass you watch every leaf. Made for oolong, sencha and any tea you want to steep three or four times.
