A goldfish (kingyo, 金魚) dives head-first down a curl of lotus leaf; light a backflow cone on top and the smoke pours down the leaf like water and pools at the base. In the old symbolism the goldfish is abundance and the downward dive is freedom. Choose the glazed version in red and jade green, or the unglazed raw clay.
