A small porcelain cat (koneko, 子猫) mid-stretch, tail straight up, with a thin gold collar. The tail holds a stick of incense; the curve of the back rests a brush or a pen; on a tea tray it is a tea pet. White, celadon or red. It is 6.5 cm tall and it will be the first thing anyone picks up from your desk.
