A small three-footed bowl (kōro, 香炉) with a domed lid of pierced antique-finish alloy, so a coil or cone of incense burns inside and the smoke threads out through the openwork. Eight glazes: black, grey, green, navy, light blue, pink, yellow and a mottled glaze that no two share. Fill the bowl with ash or sand and it takes stick incense too.
