A plate shaped like a waxing crescent moon (mikazuki, 三日月), with a sprayed glaze that shifts across the surface the way the moon does. Rust brown or slate grey. It holds three pieces of sushi, a wedge of cheese, or a single dessert, and it leaves a moon-shaped space on the table where the rest of the plate would have been.
